“The two hardest things to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last.” Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, Nashik organized Adyant - The Last Lecture of class 2020 on February 25, 2020, at their campus. Chief Guest of the event was India’s first woman Paralympic Medal Winner, Khel Ratna & Arjuna Awardee Dr. Deepa Malik. The event was also graced by the presence of Eklavya Awardee and an International Swimmer, Mr. Hansraj Patil.

Dr. Vandana Sonwaney, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management welcomed the august gathering with a powerful note on how to break the mental limitations and come out successful. Dr. Deepa Malik in her power-packed address quoted, “I chose to be alive. My body was paralyzed, but I never allowed my soul to be paralyzed”. She urged the students to inculcate 5 L’s – Learn, Love, Lead, Lookout, and Live for a successful life. Her speech was so inspiring that it garnered 2-minute long applause and a standing ovation from the audience. Post her address she felicitated the honorable dignitary, Mr. Hansraj Patil. She along with Director Dr. Vandana Sonwaney awarded certificates to Mr. Sumit Saxena, topper of Semester 1 & 2 and Mr. L Ramanathan, topper of Semester 3. Student of the year 2020 was awarded to Ms. Sana Rai for her holistic achievement throughout the 2 years of MBA. The event drew curtains with the National Anthem.
