MBA (Operations Management) is designed exclusively for Engineers to meet the needs of operations expertise and competencies required by diverse sectors of economy viz. Manufacturing, Service, IT, FMCG, E Commerce and Consulting. The Programme will

  1. Create operation managers & leaders who are proficient at improving an organization's operational performance in the manufacturing and service-related processes. Inspired by the motto of the institution ‘Empowering and leading excellence”, engineers who step out of the SIOM portals and stride into the corporate world, prove to be prized assets for modern day organizations impacting the triple bottom lines of Profit, People & planet.

  2. Deliver highly advanced and Industry relevant state-of-the-art industry aligned courses with balanced understanding of technical-analytical and organizational-behavioural aspects of the enterprise operations.

  3. Fill in the void of operational competencies needed to successfully drive businesses through the complex dynamics of the global economies by creating global leaders.

  4. Create industry ready talent by fostering international certifications and high level of project based learning experience

The student of this MBA (OM) programme will

  1. Demonstrate in-depth strategic understanding of operations systems, their components, contributions, and interactions with other functional areas like Marketing, Finance, Projects ITSM and HR.

  2. Demonstrate proficiency in the analytical tools necessary to address both strategic and tactical issues especially addressing the function of efficient Operations processes and systems.

  3. Solve complex Supply chain issues of network designing & optimisation in areas of Procurement, Manufacturing Operations & Logistics.

  4. Demonstrate expertise and competencies in Business Process Management, Analytics, Six Sigma methodologies, SAP enterprise modules, Supply Chain ,Demand Management, Operations Strategy, Supply Chain Models and International Logistics.

  5. Demonstrate high proficiency in overall understanding of Business Integration to fuel operations excellence in other domains & in functional areas of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Project and Information Technology.

  6. In the spirit of Vasuadhaiv Kutumbakkam, demonstrate high level leadership with humane and inclusive societal & sustainable values for industry excellence & community well being.
