Drishti 2021

10th – 11th April 2021

Drishti is a blend of management events which test skills of budding managers in various aspects like strategy, tact and analysis.

Drishti, India’s one of the biggest B-School fest, spread over two days, provides latitude for bringing forth the best of talents and creativities from across the country, over a range of gripping events. We also ensure the entertainment quotient to be top-notch with mammoth names from the entertainment industry, adding shine to the mega-event. Drishti 2021 has been envisioned to break the barriers of expectations and scale beyond all its previous editions.

This year theme- “Futuro Equilibria – Resilience, Renaissance, Rejoice”. The point in life is to find equilibrium in what is inherently unstable. At a time when the world was at standstill and clueless, what has recouped the hopes in everyone? It is the impeccable ability of resilience that drive forward lives. Human minds have always had the power of revival from the toughest of times, be it through perseverance, passion or unity. As going through this phase of renaissance our future world will have to find TechQuilibrium for the new post pandemic world. Undoubtedly, hard times call for invincible strength within us, but when the fight is over, there is a path of rejoice that awaits.

10th of April, 2021 saw the inaugural of SIOM’s annual Biz - Cultural fest, DRISHTI from 10:00am. Drishti was inaugurated by Mr. Vikash Singh, Founder, Aviral Consulting Pvt. Ltd. The Director of SIOM, Dr. Vandana Sonwaney welcomed all the students as well as the participants to this adventurous extravaganza. Also, opening remarks were shared by faculty convener Dr. Ramkrishna Manatkar.

Drishti had a plethora of events ranging from the case studies of supply chain management, simulations to check the strategic decision making along with fun events like Treasure Hunt which was conducted virtually.

On 10th April, 2021, Drishti, started with the B-School events in the Afternoon. B-school Competitions were conducted parallelly in two slots in the afternoon, followed by cultural competitions in the evening wherein students from across India participated to showcase their talent. All the competitions were judged by respectable judges being the industry/domain experts. There was an acoustic night later in the evening by singer Vivek Singh, who mesmerized everyone by his energetic and soulful performance covering several Bollywood genres.

As every year, Drishti saw participation from top notch management colleges across India like IIM Banglore, Calcutta, Shillong, Ranchi, Amritsar, Nagpur, NITIE, TAPMI, NMIMS, Welingkar’s, SJMSOM, We School as well as colleges from Symbiosis family like SIBM Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, SCMHRD, SIMC and many other top B-schools. The prize money for each event ranged from INR 15000 to prizes worth 2Lacs+. The sponsors for this event were ISCEA, HR campus roots, Trucknet Digital, Knowerx, KnowAFest, Tokn, BookLustic, Custkart, Higher Education Digest.

In the night of 11th April, amazing performances were given by the clubs of SIOM. Synchroners, the dance club of SIOM, synchronized every beat with their dance moves and Octaves, the music club of SIOM, made the audience headbang on their music beats. The literary club of SIOM- Abhudyay also embraced the event with their blissful act.

The last and the main event of Drishti was “Comedian Night”, where Rahul Dua came in the virtual platform to interact with audience, there was a feeling of rejoice for all the students.
