Placement during the year under review has been excellent considering the fact that corporate like United Technologies Corporation, Caterpillar, General Motors India, Mcleod Russel, Welspun etc have recognized SIOM as a centre of excellence for Operations Management. We have made a quantum leap in the value the corporate world is willing to attach to the SIOM's Techno-Business Managers. Corporate world has expressed immense satisfaction and excitement with the SIOM campus, processes of knowledge, attitude and leadership creation.
Companies from diverse sectors ranging from Consulting, IT, ITES, Automotive, Manufacturing, Logistics, FMCG etc participated in the placement process this year. Some of the profiles offered are :

This year has been a better year for the corporate world as most of the corporate around the world showed healthy signs of growth after the recession. This also reflected in this year's placements at SIOM
A total of 34 companies participated in the placement process out of which 8 were first time recruiters at SIOM. The average salary improved by 12% compared to last year, and the quality of placement was very good like the previous years. All the students were placed in companies of their interest, where they could apply their knowledge. With majority of students opting for Manufacturing, IT/ITES, Consulting, etc. the placement was inline with the competencies (Operations/ SCM/ Quality and Six Sigma/ SAP) that the institute builds.
It is also noteworthy that demand for Operations Management students has been on the rise since the last 6 years and the outlook for the future looks promising for SIOM.
