Student Initiative

Placement committee (PLC):

In line with its mission, we at SIOM assist the student in being a genuine, conscious seeker of "Career Opportunity" and not one among the crowd of "Job Seekers". A separate unit deals with the placement activity of SIOM

The ultimate goal of the Placement cell is to secure a good job for each and every student at the end of their MBA program. While this goal is laudable, the task is undoubtedly challenging and to deal with this, we have a group of dedicated people working 24/7 to achieve the high standards that we have set for ourselves.

Some of the objectives of the PLC include:

  • Organizing final placements and getting some of the top notch companies to recruit from SIOM.
  • Arranging and securing summer projects for the first year students, which help them to understand and appreciate the realities in business operations. Thus, students get to apply their classroom skills to the workplace - thereby grooming them to take on the responsibilities in their future careers.
  • Identifying the needs of the industry & expectations of the student community, and working towards a convergence of the two, so that we can deliver "techno-business" managers who not only meet corporate expectations in an enviable way, but also exceed them!
